Valerie has alternated between hand and machine stitching over the years, depending on the complexity of the quilt piecing and overall design aesthetic she persued.
'Modern Quilts' reflect Valerie's more recent affinity for colour, patterns and texture. 'Traditional Quilts' are representative of historical prints and patchwork patterns. The majority of quilts were made to be hung on a wall and enjoyed, but can just as easily serve as lap quilts to snug up with or as accent pieces.
